Balcony Systems reports best-ever Grand Designs Live 2011

Balcony Systems has reported its best-ever Grand Designs Live 2011 with record levels of enquiries and increased orders from more visitors attending the October consumer home show at Birmingham’s NEC.

Refurbishment projects featured strongly in many quotations for the company’s market-leading range of beautiful glass and aluminium balustrades, affordable Juliette balconies from under £200 and spectacular curved patio doors that transform all types of properties.

“There was very strong interest in both our balustrading and Juliet balcony products, with many serious enquirers ready to go ahead,” commented Balcony Director Lesley Farrow. “Our unique self-cleaning glass coating also attracted much attention, with staff being asked to explain how the smooth surface it creates on the glass keeps the balustrading looking cleaner for longer to reduce maintenance.”Balcony GDL 2011 NEC - 9

Lesley added: “Overall, it was a tremendously busy and successful three days and we are absolutely delighted with the level of enquiries to follow up, including those for future new build projects and developments.”

Speaking after the popular Excel 2011 event, General Manager Lesley Woodcraft said: “We had a great response to our stand, securing new orders and closing a number of deals at the show. These included some visitors who purchased more products from us while they were on the stand.”

Property developers, architects and prospective customers thronged the stand, along with current private customers who gave feedback and expressed their satisfaction with existing installations.

“One customer who had ordered one curved patio door and a fixed curved window wanted a quote for three curved patio doors instead. Inquiries also included a Scottish builder wishing to become a Balcony Systems dealer and an architect seeking balustrading. It was a very positive show for us,” added Lesley.

Balcony Systems’ products are innovative and simple to install, opening up limitless design possibilities for all types of new build and refurbishment projects. An optional self-cleaning glass coating is also available across the entire product range of curved patio doors, glass balustrading and Juliette balconies to greatly reduce maintenance.

We always find that Grand Designs is the right show for us and puts us and our products in front of the right sort of public. There is no doubt that this was one of our best shows ever with hundreds of new enquiries and new sales taken at the show”

Balcony exhibited their proprietary glass railing systems, Juliet balconies and their stunning curved doors.

“There was a great increase in interest in our curved sliding doors” continues Effi Wolff “We see the interest grow from show to show as architects become aware of the ability to have curved glass sliding doors and send their customer to feel the product first hand.”

Balcony exhibited a set of doors that is 2.6m high creating a stunning reaction from the public.

All the glass railings and juliets on the stand of course had Balcoiny’s new double sided self clean coating that is prooving to be a giant success.

Balcony Systems will once again be wowing visitors at Grand Designs Live with its stunning range of balconies, balustrades and curved patio doors. The exhibition is at Birmingham NEC 8th-10th October. Balcony will be exhibiting for the fourth year running to demonstrate how its innovative products add the ‘wow’ factor to any new build or refurbishment project.

Managing Director Effi Wolff explains: “Grand Designs Live is perfect for reaching our target audience of architects, developers and homeowners. Visitors can see the quality and range of our products and what they achieve for buildings. Our balustrades create the perfect straight or curved balcony around the home while our extensive range of Juliette balconies now come with a self cleaning glass coating as standard, and is available as an optional extra for balustrades. The coating, which uniquely is applied on both sides of the glass, reduces maintenance of the glass, so it looks new for longer. Our curved patio doors simply take property transformation to another level,” continues Effi. “Described as ‘breathtaking’, they add a really high-end, classy and distinctive look to buildings.”

Balcony’s Juliettes and balustrades exclude ugly clamps between each pane of glass for a more stylish and modern look and unobstructed views. The minimal handrail is anodized aluminium for durability in coastal or marine environments, and is available in white, silver, royal chrome or bronze. The curved patio doors come in two, three, four or six panels in various sliding or fixed combinations.

Balcony is on Stand B318. You can now apply for your free ticket to the show.
