Pre-drilling takes time and plugging the holes takes more time. That is why we offer our unique deck screws when selling our fabulously high-quality composite decking. With this package you only have to screw the screws straight in with no pre-drilling or counter sinking of the screws needed. Our composite decking material is “self healing” which means that after screwing it down, the top polymer surface of our unique decking surface closes up again, hiding the screw that is now lying just below the surface. The hole, which is almost invisible, needs no filling. All our deck screws have a self-drilling tip and a Torx drive head to make installation fast and easy. Each package includes the drill bit for this head so you do not need to search for it or have it in advance. We believe that installing composite decking does not have to take long. It only has to look good!
RECOMMENDED USE OF OUR SELF DRILLING SCREWSWe recommend that the deck screws’s heads are installed 5mm below the decking surface. We believe that fixing a decking board through the top is the most secure because it creates a more stable overall structure and keeps the board anchored. Our recommendation is to install 2 screws in each board per joist and 3 fixings (screws) on the end of the wider boards.
