Another joist support we offer is Balcony Systems’s decking pedestals. They are ideal for placing under raised level applications balconies. Their design allows pipe work and other services under the decking and for the joists to breathe and therefore not rot. These joist supports yield the following benefits:

COMPOSITE DECKING RING SUPPORTS

Where there is very little space between the underlying structure and the decking, the joist supports we recommend are our ring supports. These raise the decking off the supporting surface sufficiently to allow airflow, preventing water from pooling under the boards and rotting out the joists. In addition, our 9 inch high ring supports protect the underlying surface, such as a roofing membrane from being pierced, becoming wet and rotting out the underlying balcony or other structure.

Our joint supports are designed to support joists made of timbre or our Balcony Systems 100% recycled eco-friendly and rot-free plastic joists.
