Frameless Juliet on a Pallet - Delivery Option Explained:

The whole Frameless Juliet Balcony will arrive on one vehicle. Our trusted pallet network delivery service providers understand that our products are unique and require expertise when handling and transporting.

Jon, our logistics manager, explains

What access is required?

  • Frameless Juliet Balconies that have a width of 2180mm or under are likely to arrive on a 10-18 tonne vehicle with a rear tail lift.
  • Frameless Juliet Balconies that measure 2450mm and above will arrive on a 10-18 tonne curtainside vehicle. On average, the backdoor width of a 10-18 tonne vehicle measures 2250mm, therefore Balconies that measure 2180mm and above need to be delivered from a curtainside lorry whereby a tarpaulin curtain is retracted at the side of the vehicle and the larger Balcony can be offloaded.
  • These are large vehicles so you will need to ensure that there are no vehicle or parking restrictions that prevent access for a 10-18 tonne vehicle and that there is sufficient turning space.

How are my products packaged?

  • The entirety of your products will arrive on a single delivery.
  • The side profiles are packaged in separate reinforced carton boxes.
  • The sheet(s) of 21.5mm laminated glass is packed into a rigid wooden box.
  • The glass box is laid flat on an oversized pallet. The boxed metalwork is then laid on top of the packaged glass ready for delivery.

How are my products offloaded?

  • For Frameless Juliet Balconies that have a width of 2180mm or under, your balcony system will be offloaded by using the rear tail lift to mechanically lower the goods to ground level. A pump truck will be used to lift and offload your metalwork and glass curbside at the edge of your premises.
  • If you are receiving a Frameless Juliet Balcony that measures over 2180mm, you will be notified by a member of our team that you will be receiving delivery on a curtainside vehicle. The maximum width of the vehicle's backdoor is 2250mm which is why Balconies measuring 2180mm and above need to be offloaded via the curtainside of the vehicle. When a curtainside vehicle is used, you will need to coordinate with your building team to assist with offloading since the products are transported at a height and are a width that would need machinery such as a forklift to lower to ground level.
  • The laminated 21.5mm glass used on our Frameless Balconies are heavy and weigh 50kg per square metre, therefore it is recommended that you enquire the specific size and weight of your balcony prior to arrival to ensure that you have an adequate number of personnel present at the time of unloading if you need to manually handle the goods.
  • Placement of the goods inside your property by the driver is not permitted and it is your responsibility as the customer to dispose of the pallet(s) and any protective packaging.

When will my delivery arrive?

  • Our products are made to order so delivery will only be available once production of your system has been completed.
  • A member of our in-house logistics team will be in touch to discuss delivery date availability and you will be able to select a convenient date from a range.
  • A morning (9am – 12pm) or afternoon (12.30pm - 5pm) timeslot will be provided to help align time scheduling with your builders.
  • If for any reason you need to change your booked delivery date, you can do this at no extra cost if you provide us with 48 hours' notice.
  • Variations in service means that there is a possibility your delivery might be delayed, therefore, to avoid disappointment you should schedule your installers to arrive only once your entire order has been delivered in full.
  • There must be a recipient present at the shipping address to accept delivery on the day.

How are my products tracked?

  • A tracking consignment number will be emailed to you that can be used on the pallet network provider’s website on the day of shipment to enable you to check the journey of your glass.
  • Make a cursory inspection when the goods arrive to check that all items have been received and that there are no visible damages to the packages. In the rare occasion you notice missing or damaged products, please disclose this information with any supporting images to our team immediately so we can resolve your issue promptly.

COVID-19

The safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority. Our drivers will be wearing protective facemasks when they visit your premises. During your delivery, please ensure that you maintain social distancing from our delivery team. All our deliveries offer a curbside service therefore they are contact-free which helps to minimise the risk of transmission. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we no longer require customers to sign for a delivery if they wish for the delivery to remain entirely contact-free, instead our driver will take a photo of the successful delivery.
