Aerofoil Glass Balustrade Installation in Kirkcaldy
Kerrie Jones and James Hutchison - Kirkcaldy, Scotland
My glass balustrade makes me feel like I’m on a cruise ship!
Installed in April 2020 during the coronavirus lockdown, this Balconette glass balustrade has enhanced far-reaching North Sea views and enjoyment of the garden for homeowners Kerrie Jones and James Hutchison in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
James installed the 11 - metre Aerofoil system glass balustrade on his own in two days. Taking its name from the distinctive wing-shaped handrail, the Aerofoil balustrade system’s design allows for posts, when required, to be spaced at up to 2.1 metres apart. Secured with end posts at each end, this balustrade features an Aerofoil handrail with Balconette’s proprietary Royal Chrome finish.
As well as retaining uninterrupted views from the sloping garden, the glass panels on their smart new patio provide protection from the wind on breezier days.
Kerrie chose the Balconette glass balustrade for its attractive appearance and the fact that it does not use clamps to keep the glass in place. She comments: “Many homes in our area have glass balustrades as we get a lot of wind off the sea. I wanted a balustrade that looked the best and I think this is the nicest one!”
The couple have received ‘lots of compliments’ on the balustrade and say that it ‘suits the garden’. “It adds that finishing touch and I really love it,” continues Kerrie. “We often sit out on the patio with cocktails. The balustrade makes me feel like I’m on a cruise ship looking out to sea.”
Praising the assistance from Balconette’s team throughout the ordering process, Kerrie adds: “Having no knowledge of the process, I was surprised at how easy it was to purchase the balustrade. Everyone at Balconette was really helpful, and I was impressed with their approach at every stage.
“I received great service in exceptionally difficult circumstances and would absolutely recommend Balconette and their product!”
