Balconette's 1.8m high Glass screens
Privacy screens require extra consideration for wind loadings. Loads are A LOT greater than balustrades and will require stronger elements to resist these loads – namely stronger posts with bigger base plates. Screens over 5.4m in length will require an even greater loading factor.

Our Privacy Screen system works in conjunction with our balustrade systems.
Primary posts have a large 300mm X 150mm base plate which is 15mm thick. Cover Posts are 75mm X 66mm square posts.
The glass is glazed into the bottom rails and into the handrail. Depending on site location, effective building height and distance from the sea the distance between posts will vary. Post centres will vary between 1 metre spacing between posts and up to a maximum of 1.6m between posts.
The privacy screens can stand alone or work in conjunction with the balcony system balustrade. The privacy screens are built to take the forces that nature will throw at it.
