Balconette Van & Glass Pallet by Network - Delivery Option Explained:

For our Balustrade systems delivered within our Balconette fleet radius, you will receive a split delivery service whereby our own Balconette Fleet will deliver the profiles, posts (if required) and accessories whilst your glass will arrive with our pallet network delivery service provider.

What access is required?

  • Our pallet network provider will deliver your glass stillages on a 10-18 tonne vehicle with a rear tail lift. These are large vehicles so you will need to ensure that there are no vehicle or parking restrictions that prevent access for a 10-18 tonne vehicle.
  • The packaged metalwork will arrive on a long wheelbase vehicle driven by a Balconette employee. The long wheelbase vehicle will be able to access a residential road.
  • Please ensure that the goods can be offloaded outside of your premises and that there is sufficient turning space.

How are my products packaged?

  • The profile sections, posts and assembly accessories are packaged in separate reinforced carton boxes and will be delivered by our Balconette driver. To make it easier when offloading, these separate boxes are not strapped onto a pallet.
  • All panels of glass will be packaged and strapped onto a wooden stillage(s).

How are my products offloaded?

  • Pallet network providers offer curbside delivery. What this means is that the driver will park the vehicle in a position closest to your premises and will use the rear tail lift to mechanically lower the glass to ground level. A pump truck will be used to lift and offload the glass stillage(s) curbside at the edge of your premises.
  • The metalwork will be transported by our Balconette driver. The goods will arrive in separate, long packages and the recipient(s) will need to be present to assist offloading the goods by hand.
  • Placement of the goods inside your property by the driver is not permitted and it is your responsibility as the customer to dispose of the wooden stillage(s) and any protective packaging.

When will my delivery arrive?

  • Our products are made to order so delivery will only be available once production pf your system has been completed.
  • In some instances, the glass stillage(s) and metalwork will not always arrive on the same day. There is a possibility that the glass may even get delivered in advance ahead of the metalwork, if this happens you will be notified by our in-house logistics team.
  • A morning (9am – 12pm) or afternoon (12.30pm - 5pm) timeslot will be provided for each delivery.
  • Variations in service means that there is a possibility your delivery might be delayed, therefore, to avoid disappointment you should schedule your installers to arrive only once your entire order has been delivered in full.
  • There must be a recipient present at the shipping address to accept delivery on the day.

How are my products tracked?

  • A tracking consignment number will be emailed to you that can be used on the pallet network provider’s website on the day of shipment so that you can track your goods.
  • Our Balconette driver will give a courtesy phone or text 1 hour before arrival.
  • Make a cursory inspection when the goods arrive to check that all items have been received and that there are no visible damages to the packages. In the rare occasion you notice missing or damaged products, please disclose this information with any supporting images to our team immediately so we can resolve your issue promptly.

COVID-19

The safety of our employees and customers remains our top priority. Our drivers will be wearing protective facemasks when they visit your premises. During your delivery, please ensure that you maintain social distancing from our delivery team. All our deliveries offer a curbside service therefore they are contact-free which helps to minimise the risk of transmission. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we no longer require customers to sign for a delivery if they wish for the delivery to remain entirely contact-free, instead our driver will take a photo of the successful delivery.
